So what is the National Guard? How is it Different from the Regular Army?
The Army National Guard is a Reserve component of the Armed Forces. The Army National Guard is Unique in that Almost no other branch has a National Guard. Our primary mission is to the STATE. We respond to natural disasters such as; floods, fires, tornados. But what the Guard is most known for is our School benefits, and payment for you skilled trades. Once you JOIN THE GUARD you can receive training in literally anything that is offered ion the civilian job market. The best part is, you are paid to learn. Upon Completion of training, you are able to live / work / serve in your home state. Since we are a state level program we act under the guidance of the Governor and the Generals of Michigan.

I am a Detroit native. An attendee of Bagely elementary school, Beaubien middle school (now Bates academy), Mumford High School, and Bowling Green State University. I have had great success within the military as a whole. Both Active duty as well as the Guard. Stop by my office sometime… I LOVE THIS CITY! LETS GUARD IT
MY GOAL:
To reach as many people as possible. To change as many lives as possible. To motivate other soldiers and civilians to serve each other with passion and purpose. As we seek to grow the Army National Guard we must begin to come to the realization that a dramatic change must occur in our schools, our communities, and ourselves. We must make those changes in ourselves to enhance our communities and our community leaders.
