  1. Can I buy a gun before I take a CPL Course? Yes, as an American citizen you are permitted to own a firearm without license provided you are a law abiding citizen with no felony convictions or domestic violence disputes. You pay purchase a firearm from any licensed broker pending a background check. Anyone who owns a firearm without a Concealed Pistol License will incure carry and transport restrictions.

  2. Does a CPL cover me if I have to defend myself with lethal force? Not fully, the CPL gives you the ability to carry, and store your firearm in specific ways on your person and during transport. The necessary use of lethal force is one that will be decided in court. However, through consistent training, and firearms protection insurance you can; protect your firearms from theft, protect your freedom to defend your own life, and any accidental hospitalizations due to firearms use determined justified.

  3. How do I get better at shooting my gun? Easy, Shoot More!! AR Med LLC offers a variety of trainings from beginner to advanced. As a gun owner it is your responsibility to keep your skills sharp. The more training you undergo the safer you are with your firearm. Any Military, or LE courses will be by invitation only.

  4. How often should I shoot? OFTEN! As a firearms owner / CPL holder you need to be at the range at least twice per month. As a rule of thumb we ask that our students take one class per quarter in order to maintain our industry standards while protecting our brand as well as your skill set. Dry fire drills are effective and can be done daily or weekly without the use of ammo or a range.

  5. What if I fail the CPL Course? We believe you won’t! It is not AR Med’s mission to fail students. In fact, we believe the failing of students means the failure of our instructors. Thus the need for our curriculum to evolve. If you happen to fall short on the checks on learning, the written test or the sooting qualification. AR Med LLC will give you a chance to retest one of the three portions free of charge.

  6. What is the difference between a CPL and CCW? Though some states may call their License a CCW. The difference is written into the legal process. A CPL is a Consealed Pistol License. It allows the carrier to essentially hide their firearm one their person for personal protection (with stipulations). A CCW or carrying a Concealed weapon is a citation issued by the courts for illegally carrying a pistol without licensing.
